What is DECA?

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management at high schools and colleges around the globe.

How can I join?

Fill out our new member form, pay dues, and complete member duties. You are not considered an official member until you pay your dues! THIS IS PAST DUE!

How does our chocolate fundraiser work?

Chocolate distribution starts on October 1 before and after school in the 1300 hallway. You are REQUIRED to sell a minimum of one box in order to keep membership. All members must turn in the money collected ($60 paid cash or online) to Mr. Oliver by TBD.

What is the Preliminary Test?

***THIS IS NOT THE DISTRICTS TEST!! More information on event testing will come soon.

This year ALL members who choose to compete in a testing event are REQUIRED to take a preliminary test on October 16, 2025 after school. Members must get a passing score of 65 to compete at districts. In addition your score will be taken into account for event selection (better score = better chance at getting your first choice). REGARDLESS of event, EVERYONE will take the Business Administration Core exam (the test used for principles events) which consists of 100 questions over 90 minutes.

What are the benefits?

There are many reasons to join a club like DECA. It is a recognized club that is perfect for college applications, there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people and compete in a fun and professional environment, and it will prepare you for the business environment outside of high school.

What is ICDC?

The DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the culmination of the DECA year. More than 20,000 high school students, teacher advisors, business professionals and alumni gather for several days of DECA excitement. For the 2026-2027 school year, it will be hosted in Anaheim, CA from April 17, 2027 - April 20, 2027!
