Competition is the pinnacle of DECA.
DECA hosts Career Development Conferences (CDCs) every year at the district, state, and international level. CDCs test a student's ability of business and industry, both in terms of knowledge and creativity.
There are a massive variety of Competitive Events to select from: Team Decision Making Events, Prepared/Written Events, Individual Series, Project Management Events, and more!
As of 2025-2026, Online events will not be offered to RRHS DECA members. This includes the Stock Market Game and Virtual Business Challenge events.
Additionally, there are challenges which test students' performance in all skills, which can award members with money. Winning in a corporate challenge alone will not earn you a trip to ICDC.
This is the highest level of competition.
2026 ICDC will be in Anaheim, California from April 17 – April 20!
